Perhaps my fault as I didn't read the dimensions…but these are very small and delicate. Just like regular bobby pins. I guess the title does say bobby pins, but I assumed they'd be just slightly more substantial (i.e. actually hold your hair up a bit more than bobby pins). My daughter wore them as part of a family history costume, but you could barely see them. They are sweet and delicate and I certainly don't dislike them, however just look carefully at the size and make sure you're okay with it. I'd like them better if they were just a tad bigger.
